These paintings were painted in the Henley-on-Thames area. Most in fact were painted of the River Thames. A good deal of my abstract sculpture work explores the reflections of water, especially my reflections and water dance series. I find it so useful to explore colour when painting. I love the interaction between colours that is found in nature. I enjoy too painting with a pallet knife. The marks I make with the oils are extensions to those I make when using clay when modelling my figurative sculptures. It all links and informs my work and knowledge.
